Lebanese Men’s Basketball League 2025–2026 Division 2

The Lebanese Basketball Federation has officially confirmed the structure and participating teams for the Lebanese Men’s Basketball League 2025–2026 Division 2, setting the stage for a highly competitive season that could reshape the future of several historic and ambitious clubs.

This year’s Division 2 will feature 16 teams, representing different regions, schools of basketball, and development philosophies across Lebanon. The diversity of clubs promises a long, intense regular season where consistency, depth, and smart roster construction will be decisive.

The participating teams are:

  • Mayrouba Club

  • Atlas Club

  • Mouttahed Club

  • Andalos Club

  • Mtayleb Club

  • Arz Tannourine

  • Champs Club

  • Juristes

  • Tadamon Zouk

  • Chabeb Zahle

  • Antranik Sin El-Fil

  • Lebanese Army

  • Chabibeh Zgharta

  • Animation Sportive

  • Hoops Metn

  • Barrage (Anibal or Inmaa Damour or Byblos)

One of the most important elements of this season’s format is the foreigner regulation. During the regular season, teams will be allowed one foreign player only, which strongly emphasizes the role of Lebanese players. This rule encourages clubs to invest in local talent, give young prospects real minutes, and build identity-based rosters rather than relying heavily on imports.

When the competition reaches its decisive phase, the Final Four will allow two foreign players per team, adding a new tactical dimension and raising the overall level of play at the business end of the season. This balance between development and competitiveness could prove to be a healthy model for Division 2.

With several traditional clubs, youth-focused programs, and institutional teams such as the Lebanese Army involved, Division 2 is shaping up to be more than just a secondary competition. It is increasingly becoming a talent pipeline for Division 1 and the national team ecosystem.

Promotion battles are expected to be fierce, and every game in the regular season will matter. For players, this league represents opportunity. For clubs, it is a test of planning and vision. And for fans, it promises a season full of stories, rivalries, and surprises.

Lebanese basketball’s depth continues to grow — and Division 2 will once again be a proving ground for the next generation.
